Collaborative engineering of embedded systems is a fact of life. Currently there is no way back for companies anymore. The trend is that the amount of collaboration continues to increase. However, industry suffers from a rapidly decreasing productivity as a consequence.
The trend for collaboration cannot be reversed. The trend of productivity decrease can. PRISMA will contribute by adding industrial working methods and technologies to ensure that productivity will be the main result from collaboration. The PRISMA project will build further upon the MERLIN results.
The main goal of the PRISMA project is to boost productivity of collaborative systems development by means of:
- Enabling and improving interoperability of tools
- Developing and selecting supporting productivity improvement assets in the areas of:
- Domain specific optimization and tuning of proven collaboration technologies.
- Rework prevention by early validation and alignment of requirements interpretation.
- Development optimization through partner alignment.
- Value estimation and measurement.
